The A380 formally enters revenue service with its initial commercial flight on 25 October 2007 for Singapore Airlines. This next-generation jetliner departs Singapore's Changi International Airport for Sydney with 455 passengers, who give the A380 high marks for quietness and comfort. Chief Pilot Robert Ting calls it “a great honour” to be the first pilot to fly the A380 commercially.
