Philippe Jarry, the A3XX Vice President, Market Development, and Jurgen Thomas, the former Senior Vice President of Airbus’ Large Aircraft Division, discuss the activities that culminated in the programme’s launch in December 2000, at which time the jetliner was given the A380 designation.
