On 10 January 2006, the A380 made its first transatlantic flight – to Jose Maria Cordova International Airport in Medellín, Colombia, for evaluation of engine performance at a high altitude airfield. This video shows highlights of the 21st century flagship jetliner’s flight tests at the airport, which is located some 1,500 metres (5,000 feet) above sea level.
