The 2005 Paris Air Show is a study in contrasts when the smallest aircraft appearing at the event – called the Lion Cub – is parked underneath the massive A380 on static display in front of the Airbus pavilion. Created, designed and manufactured by Airbus sub-contractor Rex Composites, the tiny two-seater was the first ever all-carbon aircraft in the world to earn certification. Philippe Moniot, president of Rex Composites, provides comments.
