At the 2012 ILA Berlin Air Show, AirAsia was identified as the first airline that will operate an A320 with Airbus’ fuel-saving and performance-enhancing “Sharklets” wing-tip devices, taking delivery of its initial equipped aircraft in December. This development was revealed during a press conference with Zaman Ahmad, AirAsia Group Head Customer Experience and Technology, and John Leahy, Airbus Chief Operating Officer, Customers, in front of a flight test A320 fitted with Sharklets, which is participating in the ILA Berlin Air Show.
